Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

 

الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَـالَمِيْنَ وَبِهِ نَسْتَعِيْنُ عَلَى أُمُوْرِ الدُّنْيَـا وَالدِّيْنِ وَالصَّـلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلىَ سَـيِّدِ المُرْسَـلِيْنَ مُحَـمٍّد وَعَلَى اَلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ .

 رَبِّ اشْـَرحْ لِي صَـدْرِيْ وَيَسِّرْلِي أَمْـِريْ وَاحْلُلْ عُقْـدَةً مِنْ لِسَـانِي يَفْقَـهُ قَـوْلِي …..أَمَّـا بَعْد

 

Honorable ones; the juries, the participants of English Speech Contest, and all audiences.

                Before I begin to give a speech, I would like to invite you to thank to Allah the Almighty, Who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing Place. And also don't forget to deliver Sholawat and Salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW, Who has brought us from the darkness to the brightness.

                Today, in this gold opportunity, I would like to give you a speech about “The Cleanliness of the School Environment”

Ladies and gentlemen,

Talking about environment, we should realize how important it is for human being. Since it is essential part for human life, we must keep the environment, so the earth will give benefits to support our life. One of the ways to make the environment keep support our life is by keeping it clean and healthy.

Our school is our second home and it is the place where we receive our education. The cleanliness of the school environment is one of the important factors to create comfort in the teaching and learning process. In addition to create comfort in the Teaching and Learning Activities, cleanliness is needed to maintain the health of students. Students will be happier learning in a beautiful and clean athmosphere.

We as students can start it by keeping the cleanliness and tidiness of our school environment. Moreover, now we can see that the weather is not good for our health. Sometimes, it’s rainy, but in the other times it is sunny. So, to keep our health, we must keep the cleanliness of our environment, especially our school environment. Because students spend about 50% of their times at school. Moreover, if we get additional activities, such as extracurricular and OSIS,

Ladies and gentlemen,

A clean school environment is essential not only to prevent diseases to keep the students as well as the teacher healthy but also create a good atmosphere for the teaching and learning process. And as the result, it will create good quality of the graduate students.

Keeping school clean also gives positive influence to the society, especially the society around of our school. The society around of our school will try to imitate us keeping their environment clean. It also gives positive impact to the other school, in which they have the same motivation to create clean environment at their school. 

Happy audiences,

We cannot argue that in the effort of keeping the cleanliness of our school environment, all elements of school should get involved in this effort, namely the students, the officers, and the teachers. The teachers’ roles in keeping clean the school environment are giving education to the students about the importance of keeping clean environment and as the sample for the students.

The teacher should active to create competition, like the best classroom competition or the best garden competition. It will lead the students to give deep care of their classrooms as well as their gardens.

It is very clear that we should keep ourselves and environment clean in order to be healthy, happy, and free of diseases. A clean environment can keep our mind and body healthy.

There are a number of things we can do to keep our class and surroundings clean: First, we should have schedule for all cleaning activities, pick up rubbish lying on the ground, clear rubbish bins when they are full, wipe window panes, fans and other areas where dust can accumulate, most importantly have positive attitude and do not be lazy.

    Sweeping the classroom floor can be done when before the lesson begins, and after the lesson is finished. So the classrooms are always clean. The classroom atmosphere is comfortable for learning. In addition to being carried out by class pickets sweeping and mopping the classrooms, they can also be carried out in cooperation with all class members.

Finally, as taught by religion that cleanliness is part of Faith, although the context of the teachings not only reflects physical cleanliness, but also reflects spiritual cleanliness, at least with our awareness of all the cleanliness of the school environment, hopefully we become one of the parts that make our school as a place that brings us to keep our faith in the Almighty God.
           I think it’s completely enough for me to this point. The wrong are caused by limitation of my ability and the right one is merely from God. So, I beg your pardon, finally I say many thanks for your attention.
